On the evening of December 29, 2025, 17-year-old Cyrus Carter went missing from Medford, Oregon. He was in the custody of the Jackson County Juvenile Detention center at the time of his disappearance. Carter was on a supervised walk with another juvenile and a staff member when they were instructed to return inside. In response, both Carter and the other juvenile fled. The other individual was later located, but Carter has not been seen since.
