In the summer of 2022, a young man named Jesus Diaz Loza, who was 25 years old at the time, vanished. He was last seen on June 13, 2022, in the city of Falfurrias, located in Brooks County, Texas. At the time of his disappearance, he may have been wearing clothing in a camouflage pattern. Personal items he was believed to have with him included a green backpack, a black Samsung S10 cellphone with AT&T service, a Wells Fargo bank card, and possibly his consular identification card. He may have also been wearing a wedding ring. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance remain limited. Jesus, who also went by the nickname Omar Loza, is described as a Hispanic male with black hair and black eyes. He stands between 5'11" and 6'1" tall and weighs between 140 and 160 pounds. He has several distinct tattoos on one of his arms, all in black ink. Near his wrist is a tattoo of a face, and above that are two lines of script. Further up his arm, there is a depiction of an electrocardiogram, or a pulse line, that is about four to five inches long. Near his elbow, he has a tattoo of a flower. He has straight, short hair and a sparse beard and mustache. The Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office is the primary investigating agency in his case. The area where Jesus was last seen, Falfurrias, is situated in a region of Texas known for the difficult and often dangerous journeys undertaken by individuals.
