Kamyle Stephanie Burgos Ortiz was a 12-year-old girl who went missing from her home in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, on the morning of July 8, 2006. She was last seen at approximately 9:00 a.m. when she left her residence, taking only her cellular phone with her. At the time of her disappearance, Kamyle was described as a biracial female with light brown hair and green eyes. She stood at 5'4" tall and weighed 110 pounds. A distinguishing feature is a scar on her right arm. She was reportedly last seen wearing a pink shirt, pink shorts, a windbreaker jacket, and black sandals.

Authorities have reason to believe that Kamyle may have fallen victim to Amilcar Matias Torres, a suspected serial killer. Investigations revealed that Kamyle had been in communication with Torres, and they had spoken on the phone less than an hour before she vanished. While Torres has not been charged in connection with Kamyle's disappearance, he is also a suspect in the disappearances of two other young women, Yeritza Aponte-Soto and Cristina Ruiz-Rodriguez. Torres is currently incarcerated, serving a twenty-year sentence for soliciting sex from several teenage girls he met online.

Despite the strong suspicions of foul play, Kamyle's case officially remains unsolved, and some agencies have also classified her as a possible runaway. The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children has released age-progressed photos of Kamyle to show what she might look like as she has gotten older. Her case is being investigated by the Puerto Rico State Police and Interpol. As of early 2026, Kamyle would be 32 years old.
