Albert Vernon Kling, a 56-year-old World War II veteran, was last seen on July 3, 1979, in Lavista, Nebraska. At the time of his disappearance, Kling was described as being 6 feet 5 inches tall and weighing approximately 170 pounds. He had graying hair and hazel eyes. When last seen by his family, he was reportedly upset.
