In the early morning hours of October 10, 2016, 24-year-old Terence Jerell Alook vanished from the Wabasca-Desmarais area in northern Alberta. He had been at his aunt's home for a party, visiting with friends and family in the northern part of Desmarais. At some point, he left the gathering and has not been seen or heard from since. At the time of his disappearance, he was described as an Aboriginal male, standing 5'7' tall and weighing approximately 210 pounds, with short black
hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a red and black t-shirt with red writing on the front, along with a grey and red baseball cap. A distinguishing feature noted by his family is the presence of two moles on his lower chin.
Concern for Terence's well-being grew as time passed with no contact. The Desmarais RCMP were notified, and an investigation into his disappearance was launched. Police indicated there was concern for his safety and have sought help from the public for any information regarding his whereabouts. It was known that Terence frequented the communities of Edmonton and Grande Prairie, and authorities extended their search and appeals for information to those areas as well. The missing person file for his case remains open.
Years have passed since Terence Alook was last seen, and the lack of answers has left his loved ones with unresolved grief. The case is a somber reminder of the many individuals who disappear without a trace. The circumstances of his disappearance from a family gathering have left a void in the lives of those who know him. Despite the passage of time, the investigation remains active, and there is an enduring hope that someone, somewhere, has information that could finally bring clarity and peace to his family. The overview of the case is one of a young man who vanished after a social event, leading to a long and so far fruitless search by law enforcement and his community.Last Seen: Oct 10, 2016
