In the autumn of 2008, a 30-year-old Canadian woman named Ani Ashekian, an avid traveler with a goal of visiting 30 countries before her 31st birthday, embarked on what should have been another exciting adventure. This experienced paralegal from Toronto had a passion for exploring the world, and her latest journey took her to Asia.
