In the late summer of 1987, a journey from British Columbia to Manitoba ended in a lasting mystery with the disappearance of 58-year-old Russell Don Atkinson. On August 5, 1987, Russell was seen boarding a Greyhound bus in Penticton, British Columbia, with the intention of traveling to Winnipeg, Manitoba.
