In the early hours of a spring morning in Moncton, New Brunswick, a 36-year-old man named Brian Joseph Deveau was seen for what may have been the last time. On May 11, 2024, at approximately 1:45 a.m., Brian, a male of Indigenous/Metis descent, was near Albert Street in the city. Known also by the nicknames Bj or BeeJay, he was born in 1987. At the time he went missing, he stood about five feet nine inches tall and weighed around 176 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
His appearance was distinct, marked by numerous tattoos, including a demon skull with an Indian headdress on the left side of his neck and a skull with a crown and wings above the inscription “Est '87” on the right side. Further tattoos adorned both of his wrists, and he had piercings in both ears, his lip, and his left eyebrow.
The silence that followed Brian's last known sighting grew into a source of deep concern for his family, particularly his sister. It was she who reported him missing, troubled by the uncharacteristic lack of contact from her brother. While Brian was known to live a transient lifestyle, the extended period without any communication was unusual and alarming.
