In the late spring of 2021, concern began to grow for Anthony James Graham, a 35-year-old man from British Columbia. Friends of Graham reported last seeing him around May 25, 2021, in Prince George. The Prince George RCMP initiated a missing person investigation in June of that year after his family had not heard from him since late May. At the time of his disappearance, the clothing he was wearing was unknown. While he was last seen in Prince George, it was noted that he also had connections to the Okanagan area. The narrative surrounding Graham's disappearance grew more complex when it was revealed that he was a person of interest in a serious crime. On June 18, 2021, first-degree murder charges were approved against Graham and another individual, Wade Cudmore, in connection with the deaths of two brothers, Carlo and Erick Fryer. The bodies of the Fryer brothers had been discovered by hikers on May 10, 2021, near the Naramata Creek Forest Service Road in the South Okanagan. Investigators believed the homicides were connected to gang and drug activities that spanned various regions of British Columbia, including northern B.C. and the Lower Mainland. While Cudmore was apprehended by authorities, Graham remained at large. Law enforcement expressed significant concern for Graham's safety, suggesting he could be a target himself. They publicly appealed to him to turn himself in to the nearest police station, highlighting the risk to himself and anyone he might be associated with. A public warning was issued, stating that Graham should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. In an unusual turn of events, a missing person report was initially circulated by the Prince George RCMP in November 2021 without mentioning that Graham was a wanted murder suspect. This was later described as an "oversight" by the detachment, which then issued a correction to include the critical information.
