In the early afternoon of June 28, 2010, a 32-year-old man named Dale Edward Mark Jackson walked out of his parents' home in the Donsdale area of southwest Edmonton, Alberta. It was around 1:00 p.m. when he told his family he was going for a walk, a simple act that would become the starting point of a long and unanswered mystery. Investigators believe he may have headed towards the Callingwood area or perhaps along the scenic river valley nearby. He has not been seen or heard from since that day.

At the time of his disappearance, Dale was described as having a slender build, standing about 5'9' and weighing around 175-180 pounds. He has short brown or black hair, brown eyes, and wears glasses. When he left his parents' residence on Drysdale Run, he was dressed in dark clothing, specifically a black polo shirt and black dress pants. The circumstances of his disappearance were immediately concerning to his loved ones; he left behind all of his personal belongings, including his cell phone, which is often a lifeline in today's world. Compounding the worry was the fact that Dale had ongoing health issues, which made his sudden absence all the more alarming for his family.

In the days and weeks that followed, the Edmonton Police Service, including the Southwest Division and the Missing Persons Unit, launched an investigation. Detectives conducted numerous foot searches of the areas where Dale was thought to have frequented and followed up on any potential leads they received. Despite their efforts, all avenues of investigation were eventually exhausted, and they turned to the public for assistance in locating him. The case of Dale Edward Mark Jackson remains unsolved. He vanished after leaving for a routine walk, leaving his family with no answers and a profound sense of loss that has endured for years.
