On a Sunday morning in the autumn of 2017, 61-year-old Ann Elizabeth Lazarus-Victor left her Buffalo, New York home, telling her family she was on her way to church. This was the last time her loved ones would see her. What began as a routine day on October 22, 2017, soon turned into a heart-wrenching mystery when she failed to return. Concern grew as the hours turned into an agonizing wait. Surveillance footage later provided a clue, capturing her black Volkswagen Beetle passing through an E-ZPass lane, heading in the direction of Niagara Falls that morning. At the time of her disappearance, she was believed to be wearing blue jeans and a red Nike track jacket. The investigation led authorities to a troubling discovery. Ann's car was found abandoned, but there was no trace of her. The vehicle was located in a parking lot near the water intakes for the New York State Power Authority, a location that offered few answers and many more questions. An extensive search of the surrounding area was conducted, but it yielded no further clues as to her whereabouts or what might have happened to her.
