In the early summer of 2002, a 17-year-old girl named Heather Linda Moggy vanished from her home in the Sudbury area of Ontario, Canada. She was last seen by her family on June 22 of that year. At the time of her disappearance, Heather was described as a Caucasian female, standing 5'6" tall and weighing around 150 pounds. She had long, medium brown hair and blue eyes. What she was wearing on the day she went missing remains unknown. The circumstances surrounding her disappearance were immediately concerning to her loved ones and authorities. The investigation into Heather's disappearance soon uncovered a significant lead: she was believed to be in the company of a 42-year-old man named John Alan Joseph Tucsok. Tucsok himself was also reported as missing and was wanted by police for offenses in Ontario. The nature of their relationship is not entirely clear, but it is known that they shared a joint post office box in Brantford, Ontario, which remained active until September 2003. Further complicating the case, a letter postmarked from Calgary, Alberta, was received at some point, suggesting their possible presence in that city. The pair was also known to have ties to Manitoulin Island. The last known communication from Heather came in October 2003, over a year after she was last seen by her family. In a telephone call, she mentioned that she and Tucsok might be heading to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Since that final phone call, there has been no further contact with her family or any confirmed sightings of either Heather or John Tucsok. The case remains an open investigation, a painful and unresolved chapter for her family and friends.
