Some sources state she was last seen by her father on September 11, 2013. At the time of her disappearance, she was described as a Caucasian female, 5'10" tall, weighing 140 pounds, with black hair and hazel eyes. She has a small scar on her upper lip, a red birthmark on her inner left chest, and a distinctive Playboy bunny tattoo on her left shoulder blade. The clothing she was wearing at the time she went missing is unknown. The circumstances leading to Meagan's disappearance are unsettling. Her father, who was recovering from back surgery, had a brief and concerning conversation with her. He noted that her behavior was strange, leading him to worry that she might be using drugs again. He watched as she got into an unfamiliar vehicle and left. Over the following weekend, her father's repeated calls to her went unanswered. Growing increasingly concerned, he asked a friend to check on her at their home. The friend discovered the house had been trashed and Meagan was gone. Significantly, her bank card, health card, and birth certificate were all left behind. After this discovery, her father reported her missing to the Greater Sudbury Police Service. Since Meagan Pilon vanished, the investigation into her disappearance has remained active, though the passage of time has presented significant challenges. Investigators have pursued numerous leads and interviewed multiple witnesses, but concrete answers have been elusive. There have been unconfirmed sightings of Meagan in various locations, including Sudbury, West Nipissing, Espanola, and Manitoulin Island, but none have led to a breakthrough in the case. Due to the extended period she has been missing, police have not been able to rule out the possibility of foul play. Her family fears she may have been drawn into human trafficking. In 2020, the Ontario Provincial Police released an age-enhanced composite image of what Meagan might look like as a young adult to generate new leads. Despite the exhaustive efforts of law enforcement and the heartfelt pleas from her family, the case remains an open and troubling mystery. The Government of Ontario is offering a $50,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for her disappearance.
