On a Tuesday afternoon, June 12, 2018, 46-year-old Christian Paul Robinson was seen for the last time leaving his home in the vicinity of 6th Line and Simcoe Road in Bradford, Ontario. He was reported missing the following day by a family member. At the time of his disappearance, Robinson was described as a white male, standing 5'10" and weighing 180 pounds, with short, light brown hair. He was last seen wearing a grey golf shirt with a yellow and white pattern on the chest, grey shorts, flip-flops, and glasses. Concern for his well-being grew as he had not been seen or heard from since he left his residence. The days and weeks following Christian's disappearance were filled with anguish for his family. His fiancée, Andrea Buettner, made a heartfelt public plea for his return, saying, "Please, if you can see this, your family needs you. Please come home or let someone know you are okay and alive. We love you and miss you". The South Simcoe Police Service launched an extensive investigation, which included background checks and the monitoring of his financial and phone records. They canvassed local businesses and alerted Canada Customs, with border crossings being monitored. Despite these efforts and a number of leads, his whereabouts remained unknown. His cell phone was in his possession at the time he went missing, but it ceased functioning shortly after his disappearance. The circumstances leading up to Christian Robinson's disappearance were complex. He was the former owner of a karate studio founded by his father and was facing allegations of misappropriated funds connected to the business. These financial difficulties had led to a lien being placed on the home he shared with his fiancée. On the day he vanished, he had a heated argument with his fiancée about their finances, during which she asked him to leave. Shortly after leaving, he sent a cryptic text message to her. The investigation into his disappearance has been exhaustive, yet no trace of him has been found. The case remains an open missing person file, a painful mystery for a family still waiting for answers.
