Although he resided in Edmonton, David also had connections to northern Alberta, specifically in the St. Paul area.

Distinguishing marks included a scar on his left cheek near his eye and another scar on his right hand. The investigation into his disappearance was launched, but the passage of time since he was last in contact with anyone presented significant challenges for law enforcement.
