In March of 2010, a 44-year-old man named David Henri Joseph Rocque was last heard from by a family member in Edmonton, Alberta. Prior to this, David was known to maintain regular contact with his family, typically speaking with them at least once a month. This sudden and uncharacteristic silence became a source of growing concern for his loved ones. Although he resided in Edmonton, David also had connections to northern Alberta, specifically in the St. Paul area. His family held out hope for his return, but as the months passed with no word, the worry for his well-being intensified. The formal report of his disappearance was not made until several months later, in October 2010, when he was officially registered as a missing person with the Edmonton Police Service. At the time he went missing, David was described as a Caucasian male, standing 70 inches tall and weighing approximately 150 pounds, with a medium build. He had brown, short hair and hazel eyes. Distinguishing marks included a scar on his left cheek near his eye and another scar on his right hand. The investigation into his disappearance was launched, but the passage of time since he was last in contact with anyone presented significant challenges for law enforcement. For years, the case of David Henri Joseph Rocque remained an unresolved missing person file. His family was left to wonder what had become of him, enduring the pain of not knowing his whereabouts or his fate. The silence that began in March 2010 stretched on, leaving a void in the lives of his parents, siblings, and other relatives. Regrettably, the search for David came to a sorrowful conclusion with his passing in February of 2017. The case, which began with a son and brother falling out of contact, became a long and painful wait for answers, ultimately ending in heartbreaking loss for the Rocque family.
