In the spring of 2014, a 52-year-old man named Scott Malcolm Woodley was last seen on April 15th in the industrial area of Cambridge, Ontario. At the time, Scott was living a transient lifestyle, reportedly residing in a tent near the end of Industrial Road. Estranged from his relatives, it was not uncommon for long periods to pass without contact. This pattern of intermittent communication contributed to a significant delay in his family realizing something was amiss.
Described as being 5'7" tall and weighing around 150 pounds, with grey hair and blue eyes, Scott's appearance was familiar to local law enforcement who had regular interactions with him. A distinguishing feature was a tattoo on his arm of a heart with the name "Kelly" inscribed within it.
It wasn't until February 10, 2018, nearly four years after he was last seen, that Scott Woodley's family officially reported him as a missing person to the Waterloo Regional Police. The family grew concerned after their own attempts to locate him were unsuccessful. His brother expressed deep concern, having not seen him in years and was in contact with the police regarding the search efforts.
