Summary based on 1 source
In the winter of 1973, a Fijian national named Govind Subramanian, also known as George, traveled to Vancouver, British Columbia, with the intention of selling his construction business. At 42 years old, he was staying with a friend in the city while finalizing his business dealings. On January 9, 1974, Mr. Subramanian, a man of Pacific Islander descent with black hair, brown eyes, and a mustache, was last seen wearing a dark suit. He was described as being 5' 9" tall and weighing approximately 180 pounds. His plan was to return to his home in Fiji just a few days later, with an expected arrival on January 12, 1974.

The friend with whom he was staying reported that Mr. Subramanian left their residence to meet with an individual. This person was later charged with multiple counts of fraud. Authorities questioned this man in connection with Mr. Subramanian's disappearance, but he refused to cooperate with the investigation. After serving time in prison for the fraud charges, this person of interest returned to Fiji. Govind Subramanian never made it back to his home country as planned, and his loved ones never heard from him again.

The Vancouver Police Department has investigated the disappearance of Govind Subramanian, and foul play is suspected in his case. Despite the passage of many years, his case remains an open and unresolved missing person investigation. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance, particularly his meeting with a known fraudster, have led investigators to believe he may have met with harm. His case is a poignant reminder of the many individuals who vanish under suspicious circumstances, leaving behind families with unanswered questions and a deep sense of loss. The investigation into what happened to Govind "George" Subramanian continues.

Last Seen: Jan 9, 1974
