In the summer of 2022, a 28-year-old man named Carlos Guadarrama Sanchez went missing from McAllen, Texas. The last known contact with Carlos was on June 20, 2022. At the time of his disappearance, he was described as a Hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing prescription glasses and was carrying a wallet and a backpack containing his Mexican ID, police documents, and work paperwork. His family has been desperately searching for him ever since. The circumstances surrounding Carlos's disappearance are harrowing. It is believed that he was attempting to cross the border and had made several attempts prior to the day he went missing. On his final attempt, Border Patrol agents appeared, and in the ensuing chaos, Carlos ran and was not seen or heard from again. His intended destination was reportedly Houston, Texas, where he was hoping to find work. The family's anguish has been compounded by extortion attempts they have faced while trying to find information about his whereabouts. Carlos has several distinct tattoos that his family hopes will help in identifying him. On his upper chest, in a collar-like shape, he has the words "CARLOS CORONEL" with a scorpion at the end. His right arm features a sad and a happy face, along with the names "DANNA" and "DARE" intertwined with flowers. Also on his right forearm is a tattoo of Christ. His family has shared images of these tattoos in the hope that someone might recognize them. The case is being investigated by the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office. The overview of this case is that a young man, in a vulnerable situation, vanished while trying to seek a better life. His family continues to hold out hope for his safe return, pleading with the public for any information that could lead to finding him.
