In the late summer of 2018, concerns began to grow for 36-year-old Jason Edward Shuford from Icard, North Carolina. His family had not seen or heard from him in over a month, which was highly out of character for him. This prolonged silence prompted his mother to file a missing person report with the Burke County Sheriff's Office on September 21, 2018.
