In the late summer of 2018, a 33-year-old man named Jinwei Gai vanished under perplexing circumstances. On August 5th of that year, Gai, a crew member of the cargo ship Interlink Acuity, which was docked in Destrehan, Louisiana, left the vessel with the intention of a short shopping trip.
