Matthias Rubisch, a 51-year-old German national, was last seen in Puerto Rico on September 21, 2020. An avid hiker and photographer, Rubisch was known to frequent the island's natural areas. His vehicle was discovered undamaged near a national park, leading investigators to believe he may have gone hiking and not returned. Concerns for his welfare grew after he failed to show up for work and checks of his apartment yielded no clues as to his whereabouts.
