In the spring of 2014, the family and friends of Rogelio P. Alvarado were plunged into a state of desperate uncertainty when he seemingly vanished without a trace. At twenty-seven years old, Rogelio was building a life in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, far from his original home in Guatemala.
