Ronald Dale Alspaugh, a 38-year-old man, was last seen on September 2, 1989, near Fairbanks, Alaska. He was part of a group of five Nikiski residents who were canoeing from McKinley Village to Riley Creek. The group was traveling in two canoes that were lashed together in a catamaran style.
