On January 9, 1989, 30-year-old Richard D. Figura was last seen in Niagara Falls, New York. His vehicle was later discovered abandoned in a parking lot at Niagara Falls State Park. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance pointed towards a possible drowning in the Niagara River, although his body was never recovered.
