David Clyde Loveland, also known as Dave, was 41 years old when he was last seen in Ketchikan, Alaska, on November 25, 1988. An avid outdoorsman, Loveland had embarked on a 14-mile hike in the Harriet Hunt Lake, Wolf Lakes, and Lunch Creek area. When he did not return as expected, he was reported missing. Subsequent searches of the extensive and rugged terrain were unsuccessful in locating him or any of his belongings. Loveland is now presumed to be deceased.
