Rodney Elroy Main, a 44-year-old resident of Tillamook, Oregon, was last seen on May 30, 1988, in Dillingham, Alaska. He was the captain of the 86-foot trawler named the Golden Venture. On the day of his disappearance, the fishing vessel capsized and sank approximately 13.2 miles west-northwest of St. George Island, in the vicinity of Yunaska Island in the Aleutians.
