On November 5, 1987, 29-year-old Gregory Donmac Klingenberg, a resident of Kodiak, Alaska, was working as a crew member aboard the fishing vessel Uyak II. The 112-foot trawler was navigating the Gulf of Alaska, approximately 20 miles south of Sitkalidak Island and 60 nautical miles south of Kodiak, when the unthinkable occurred.
