On October 13, 1987, 20-year-old Daniel Harold Oney was last seen in Bethel, Alaska. He embarked on a seal hunting expedition near Sheldon Point with three other hunters. From the village of Marshall, a small "Eskimo" community, Oney and his companions ventured out into what authorities believe were rough seas and stormy weather. The group never returned from their hunting trip.
