On February 22, 1987, 22-year-old David Rodney Hilts was working aboard the 100-foot fishing vessel, the F/V Alliance, when he was reported missing in the waters near Anchorage, Alaska. At the time of his disappearance, Hilts was described as a White male, standing at 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes. The official report from the Alaska State Troopers was filed on the same day.
