On the final day of 1986, a 40-year-old man named Daniel A. Poulos went missing under perplexing circumstances. He was the pilot of a Cessna 310R, tail number N5462J, on a flight path from Jamestown to Buffalo, New York. At approximately 6:00 PM, contact with his aircraft was lost. The prevailing theory is that his plane crashed into the cold waters of Lake Erie.
