Tom R. Kelly, a 38-year-old man, went missing on October 30, 1986, following a boating accident in the Gastineau Channel near Marmion Island, close to Juneau, Alaska. He was aboard the fishing vessel F/V Danube with two other men, William Scott Lewis and William Tugman, at the time of the incident. The vessel, a troller, was reported to have disappeared while on a crabbing trip.
