Jonathan Arellanos, 23, was fatally shot in Noel, Missouri, on November 22, 2020. The shooting prompted a multi-jurisdictional investigation after which police identified a suspect from Noel who had fled to Arkansas. Authorities in Arkansas took the suspect into custody and he was extradited to Missouri.

Upon return to Missouri the suspect was charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action. Those charges begin the legal process that will examine what happened that November night and determine accountability for Jonathan’s death.
