Manvel K. Bethea, 38, was shot and killed on the evening of Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at an apartment complex on the northwest side of Indianapolis in the 4000 block of Gateway Court near 38th Street and High School Road. The shooter fled the scene and Bethea later died of his injuries despite emergency treatment.

Private services were held for Bethea. If anyone witnessed the encounter that night or has information about the person who approached him, please come forward and share what is known.
