Late on the night of September 16, 2010, 38-year-old Leon F. Finisson was found inside a home in the 3000 block of Euclid Avenue, near New York Street on Indianapolis’ near-northeast side, suffering from mortal gunshot wounds. Officers on scene called emergency medical services and Finisson was transported to Wishard Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Detectives canvassed the area and interviewed potential witnesses in the immediate aftermath, but initial reports said details were scarce. No public information about arrests or identified suspects has been released. Family and friends held services on September 24, 2010, and Finisson was buried at New Crown Cemetery.
If anyone knew Leon, witnessed the shooting, or has information that could help resolve this case, please come forward.
