On the morning of May 9, 2020, Antonio Deward Bogan, 36, known as Spanky, was found shot to death in the driver’s seat of a vehicle in Charleston, Missouri. Officers who responded at about 10 a.m. pronounced him dead at the scene. A 51-year-old female passenger suffered injuries and was taken to a hospital; she was expected to survive.

Bogan was described by family and friends as a devoted husband and father who had married Angela in March 2020. The couple ran Country Boy Kennel from their home. He was remembered for his infectious smile and his love of dogs and four-wheelers.

The investigation remains active and, as of the latest reports, no arrests have been announced and no suspects or motive have been publicly identified. If anyone knew Antonio, witnessed the shooting, or has information that could help the investigation, please come forward.
