Sarah Jo Tyminski, 32, was fatally shot on the evening of June 17, 2019, during a domestic dispute at a Neosho, Missouri residence. A Joplin-area resident who had recently moved to Newton County, she worked as a security guard at a behavioral health center. The violence arose from a custody disagreement over the couple’s two young daughters involving Sarah’s boyfriend, Chris Lamb, and his father.

The conflict began when 60-year-old Rickey Lamb of Joplin refused to allow a scheduled weekend visit. The argument escalated into gunfire between father and son; Chris Lamb was seriously wounded but survived, and Sarah was struck and killed in the crossfire. Authorities arrested Rickey Lamb in connection with the shooting. In April 2021 he pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and received a life sentence; other charges were dismissed under a plea agreement.

Did anyone know Sarah or the family and have details about the custody dispute or the events that night?
