On the morning of November 8, 2018, 64-year-old Roy Cedric Nash was found deceased on the front lawn of his home in the 1800 block of Willow Oak in St. Charles, Missouri. Police discovered he had been shot multiple times and quickly treated the death as a homicide; the Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis joined the investigation.

Investigators described the killing as a planned and coordinated attack stemming from an ongoing dispute. Within about four hours, two teenagers were identified and arrested after extensive neighborhood surveillance footage aided the probe. Seventeen-year-old Damontaye Deangelo Perkins of St. Louis County allegedly admitted to shooting Nash multiple times and to previously stealing the gun used in September; he was charged with second-degree murder, armed criminal action, stealing a motor vehicle, and tampering with physical evidence. Seventeen-year-old Verjulia Ann Watkins of Lake St. Louis, identified as Nash’s granddaughter, was charged with multiple counts including felony stealing, stealing from a person, stealing a motor vehicle, and tampering with physical evidence; she is accused of taking Nash’s wallet and phone and helping remove the weapon after the shooting.

Does anyone in the St. Charles area have home surveillance or other information that could clarify the timeline or motive behind this killing?
