Roxann McRoy, 64, and her husband Larry McRoy, 62, were found shot to death in the living room of their Miner, Missouri, home in autumn 2015. Their bodies were later disposed of in the Mississippi River and recovered. Their son, Thomas Wayne McRoy, was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the deaths.
In November 2016 a judge found Thomas McRoy unfit to stand trial and ordered his commitment to a mental health facility, with a competency re-evaluation set for the following May.
Does anyone have information about the later status of the case or the competency proceedings?
