On the evening of October 29, 2015, 46-year-old Russell Gray Jr. was shot in the back outside his home on the 200 block of Back Street in Wardell, Missouri. The shooting occurred around 6:00 p.m. and Gray was taken to a hospital in Hayti, Missouri, where he died of his wounds.
