A body found beside a highway ramp led to a homicide investigation that has never been resolved. On August 5, 1991, a truck driver discovered the body of 37-year-old Georgia Ann Shreve of Burrows, Indiana, in a ditch along the westbound on-ramp from State Road 25 to Interstate 74 in Montgomery County. The Indiana State Police concluded her death was a homicide.
Georgia had last been seen alive on July 25, 1991, at a truck stop in Indianapolis. Friends and family said she sometimes went out of touch for stretches, which complicated efforts to reconstruct her final days and establish a clear timeline. Despite an investigation, no suspects were publicly identified and no arrests were made; the motive remains unknown and the case is listed among Indiana’s unsolved cold cases.
Does anyone have information about Georgia’s movements between July 25 and August 5, 1991, or recall seeing her at truck stops or along I-74 that summer?
