Holly Kristine Baker, 26, was killed in Cameron, Missouri on February 25, 2015. Police were called to the couple’s home after a domestic disturbance; officers found Holly’s husband, Adam Baker, outside and he led them to the bedroom where Holly’s body was discovered. Adam Baker told officers a physical altercation had occurred, saying Holly had picked up a gun, that he took the weapon from her, and that he shot her as he was walking away.
Investigators and prosecutors rejected the self-defense account. Adam Jeffery Baker was charged with second-degree murder, armed criminal action, and endangering the welfare of a child. At trial the jury found him guilty of second-degree murder and armed criminal action, determining Holly was unarmed when she was shot. The jury recommended 13 years for the murder and 3 years for armed criminal action, and a judge later imposed a 16-year sentence.
If anyone knew Holly or has information about the night she died, please share what you can.
