Kjuan Smith was 23 when he was shot and killed on a street in Jennings, Missouri, on January 16, 2015. Investigators found 25 shell casings at the scene and determined Smith had been shot five times. Two other men with Smith were reportedly fired at, and the shooter fled the scene.
Authorities identified 25-year-old Steven Crossland as the man responsible. He was initially charged with second-degree murder, two counts of first-degree assault, and three counts of armed criminal action. In July 2017, as trial was about to begin, Crossland pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and one count of armed criminal action and was sentenced.
Does anyone have information about Smith’s last known movements or the people who were with him that night?
