A violent home invasion on October 22, 2014, in Pineville, McDonald County, Missouri, ended with the death of 35-year-old Rodney Frederick. Deputies who responded to reports of a disturbance found Frederick unresponsive from gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene. A woman and a young boy in the home had been bound by the intruders before the shooting, and they were interviewed as part of the investigation.
The McDonald County Sheriff’s Department treated the case as a homicide and collected evidence from the residence. Detectives linked Carl Jackson, a Webb City resident, to the break-in and shooting and charged him with first-degree murder, armed criminal action, and first-degree burglary. The case went to trial in McDonald County in May 2016, and the jury returned guilty verdicts on all counts, including first-degree murder carrying a life sentence without parole.
Did anyone in the Pineville or Webb City areas have information about activity around that residence in October 2014?
