Miles Cashell was 19 when he was abducted in the predawn hours of September 23, 2014, from an apartment in Belton, Missouri. Miles was taken to a field south of Belton, beaten, and shot in the back of the head; his body was covered with brush.
Authorities charged 19-year-old Keegan Curtis of Raymore, 20-year-old Kenny Bowman of Belton, and 46-year-old Edmond Lynch of Belton in connection with the killing. Investigators say Curtis was the shooter. One suspect allegedly led police to the body. After the murder, two of the men returned to the apartment intending to force Miles’s girlfriend to go with them, but she refused.
Kenny Bowman was later convicted by a jury of first-degree murder, armed criminal action, kidnapping, tampering with physical evidence, and abandonment of a corpse. Does anyone have information about Miles, his life in Belton, or the events surrounding that September morning?
