On November 19, 1992, 22-year-old Tim Eastburn was found dead inside his Rocky Comfort, Missouri, home after a neighbor noticed a broken window and forced entry. Authorities determined Eastburn had been shot twice with a high-powered rifle: one bullet severed his spinal cord, causing immediate paralysis, and a second contact wound to the head was instantly fatal. The weapon used was his own AK-47, taken from the residence.
Investigators focused on people close to Eastburn, particularly his ex-wife, Sheena Renea Eastburn. Witnesses said a pickup left the scene and one neighbor saw Sheena arrive earlier that day with two men identified as Terry Banks and Matt Myers. The pickup was later recovered submerged in a nearby pit, and ballistics tied the rifle to the murder. Prosecutors said the attack was motivated by robbery and personal animosity; Sheena admitted being present but denied prior knowledge of lethal intent.
Legal proceedings led to convictions: Matt Myers pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and related charges and received a 67-year sentence; Sheena Eastburn was convicted of first-degree murder and given life without probation or parole; Terry Banks was also convicted. Did anyone in Rocky Comfort have information about the pickup, the arrival that day, or the three individuals seen at the house?
