Tyler Bradley Robinson was 29 when he was killed in the early morning of July 9, 2022. Known as T-Rob and T-Rob Smooth, he worked as a music promoter and co-founded Long Money Camp in the greater Columbia, South Carolina area. After spending part of the evening at a downtown Columbia club, investigators believe he was followed to his apartment at the Lauren Ridge Apartments in Lexington.

Shortly after 2:00 a.m., Robinson was attacked by several unidentified people in an outside stairway and shot multiple times in the upper body. Officers arrived, rendered aid, and he was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. The attackers robbed him of multiple pieces of custom jewelry and a watch, then burglarized his apartment and fled in a vehicle. The stolen items were publicly described as a gold necklace with jeweled Smooth and LMC pendants, two jeweled gold rings (one with a $ and one with LMC), and a jeweled gold watch.

As of July 2024 no arrests or public identifications of suspects have been made and the Lexington Police Department continues to treat the case as an active homicide investigation. If anyone has information about the shooting, the assailants, or the location of the stolen jewelry, please share what is known.
