A wellness check at a Dogwood Drive home in North Augusta, South Carolina, in the summer of 2022 led deputies to a fatal discovery. Sixty-five-year-old Bobby Ray Miller was found unresponsive on the floor of the master bedroom closet with a gunshot wound to the head; deputies had entered after finding the back door unlocked.

Investigators quickly focused on a primary suspect who lived at the same address. Information from the Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia identified 42-year-old Jason Glenn Miller; he was taken into custody in Colquitt County and charged with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime. Reports indicate a history of disturbances at the residence in the months before the shooting, including a citation for discharging a firearm while intoxicated and prior allegations by Bobby Miller that his son had physically assaulted him.

Does anyone have information about the family or the disturbances at that Dogwood Drive address in the months before the killing?
