Phillip Campbell, 31, was shot and killed after a dispute at Club Reflexxions on Highway 301 North in Hamer, South Carolina, in the early hours of Sunday, January 23, 2022. The argument began inside the nightclub and continued into the parking lot, where gunfire erupted; Campbell was struck and later pronounced dead at a local hospital. The Dillon County Coroner’s Office identified him as the victim.

The Dillon County Sheriff’s Office led the investigation. By mid-February two men were in custody: Austin H. Fairley, 24, of Red Springs, and Chandler T. Lowry, 23, of Shannon, arrested February 12, 2022. They were charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime and faced multiple drug-related counts including conspiracy to traffic cocaine and possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and/or deliver controlled substances. Authorities also named Sincir McLean, 20, and Arron Fairley, 21, as additional suspects wanted on murder and weapon charges. Investigators said the violence appeared linked to other shootings in the Red Springs and Shannon areas.
