Taylor McFadden Robinson, 29, was found dead in her Florence, South Carolina, home on Rice Planters Lane on the morning of Sunday, January 23, 2022. An autopsy determined she died from a single gunshot wound to the head. Taylor was a mother of two, a Black entrepreneur who founded Tayler Robinson Real Estate and other businesses, and was described by family as devoted to her children and clients.
Police quickly focused on her estranged husband, Duncan Allen Robinson Jr., who was 31 at the time, and arrested him the same day. He was charged with murder, first-degree burglary, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. Prosecutors said home surveillance footage showed him breaking into Taylor’s home; one report said he shot her in front of the couple’s two children. Taylor had earlier sought an order of protection in March 2021, alleging threats, door kicking, being followed, and an attempt to run her over, but a judge denied the request.
What additional information can anyone who knew Taylor or saw something that morning share with investigators?
