Dwayne Tyrone Patterson was 29 when he was shot and killed in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, on Saturday, July 10, 2021. The shooting happened on 14th Avenue South; officers nearby heard gunfire and responded almost immediately. Patterson was taken to Grand Strand Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.

A suspect was detained at the scene. Thirty-year-old Shadow Antonio Graham of Darlington, S.C., was taken into custody moments after the shooting and was charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Investigators reported the shooting followed a fight between Graham and Patterson.
